At Dibble Engineers, we believe in nurturing the next generation of engineering talent. This summer, we’re thrilled to introduce you to our brilliant interns who are bringing fresh ideas, energy, and enthusiasm to our projects. These young professionals are already making significant contributions, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for them. Let’s meet the team:

Eddie Button (left)

Eddie Button, born and raised in Bellevue, joins us from Princeton University, where he has gained a wealth of knowledge. He is currently working on several key projects, including Seattle Condos, Spokane House, Spokane Roller-Skating Rink, and Mercer Island House. Eddie’s dedication and fresh perspective are already making a significant impact on our projects. Fun fact: If Eddie could have any superpower, he would choose superspeed due to his love for the Flash. Additionally, Eddie has eight siblings, a surprising fact that adds to his unique background.

Logan Smith (right)

Logan Smith started exploring structural engineering about six months ago, fueled by a long-standing interest in civil engineering. He joined DEI as an intern in June 2024 and is entering his senior year at the University of Washington, with plans to graduate in spring 2025. Logan is currently involved in a diverse collection of projects, including existing structure evaluations, new constructions, and residential timber retrofits. He loves creating solutions that are both safe and efficient and enjoys seeing the tangible results of his work. Born and raised in Federal Way, Washington, Logan spends his free time improving his frisbee skills with friends and watching obscure old foreign movies. He is also a passionate Cincinnati Bengals fan, possibly the most enthusiastic one in Washington.

Our interns are an invaluable part of the Dibble Engineers team, and we are thrilled to have them with us this summer. Their fresh perspectives and dedication align perfectly with our commitment to excellence in structural engineering. Stay tuned for updates on their journeys and the exciting projects they are working on.

Welcome to the team, Eddie and Logan!
