Tom Andrews is one of the newest additions to Dibble Engineers, joining our team in late June 2024 as a Senior Structural Engineer. With almost two years of experience in the industry, Tom has quickly made his mark by bringing a fresh perspective and a passion for innovative design.
Tom’s academic journey took place at the University of Washington, where he earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural engineering. His strong educational background, combined with his hands-on experience, has prepared him to tackle a variety of projects with precision and creativity.
Currently, Tom is working on a range of projects that highlight the diversity and pace of work at Dibble Engineers. From adding a deck to an existing house and designing a standalone boat garage to remodeling a house with a vaulted ceiling, Tom is constantly engaged in challenging and dynamic tasks.
One of Tom’s most memorable projects is the Northwest Nordic Trolls project, created by Danish artist Thomas Dambo. Tom provided the structural framing for the troll sculptures, a unique experience that involved ensuring the safety of these whimsical structures—right down to verifying the stability of an unexpectedly large troll head.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tom’s love for structural engineering stems from the tangible impact his work has on people’s lives. He finds fulfillment in creating and enhancing spaces that others will use and enjoy, knowing that his efforts contribute to the safety and functionality of these environments.
Tom’s journey began in Kerala, India, where he was born before moving to Bellevue, WA, at the age of four. Outside of work, he’s a passionate football fan, closely following both the Seattle Seahawks and the UW Huskies. For Tom, being able to manipulate time would be the ultimate superpower—an apt choice for someone who’s always looking to make the most of every moment.
