Lindsey Peterson – Design Engineer
We are thrilled to share with you one of our newest team members, Lindsey Peterson. Born and raised in Spokane, WA, Lindsey graduated from Gonzaga University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. She joined our team fresh out of college and has been working here ever since for the past 2 years.
She currently contributes to a few multi-family retrofit projects, litigation projects, and new single-family residential projects. One of the first jobs she started working on at DEI was the Sunset Vista Condominiums, a project which is currently still ongoing. She shares, “It has been great to see how I have progressed as an engineer throughout the project.”
Her ideal client is communicative and generally understanding when structural concerns or conflicts arise. Her favorite sports team is hands down, Gonzaga basketball. If she could obtain any superpower, it would be teleportation, “so I never have to drive, fly, or bus anywhere again.”
Her favorite part about being a structural engineer includes the opportunity to help create safe and socially responsible structures: “The buildings and houses people occupy serve a very important role in their lives, and I am grateful to get to design such structures.”
